Potato Leek Soup

This Potato and Leek Soup from Daniel J. Gourmet will have you cooking like a pro. While we loved Costco's potato soup that is made relatively the same as this product, Daniel J. Gourmet hit it big time on this soup. Easy to make, this soup is very creamy and thick. We followed the suggestions and added crispy bacon and shredded cheese to each bowl we served. The soup has a smooth texture and very favorable. It has a great blend of spices, that compliment the potato base. The soup was ready in 30 minutes from the package and was hearty enough to feed all five of us including two pre-teens. We felt this soup was a perfect end to a cold blistery day. Served with hot crusty bread, your guests will think you worked all day making it.

  1. I have tried this soup and really love it. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find it anywhere. I think the manufacturer has quit making it. Hopefully, the will come out with some new flavors soon.

  2. I've always loved old fashioned potato soup and the addition of leeks is one that I have never tried. This would be great to have on hand in the pantry for last minute guests.

  3. Reminds me of a soup my mother used to make back in Idaho with our homegrown potatoes.
